Hi, there！
I’m Koji Yamamoto, a Tokyo-based photographer and the creative force behind MatchaPhotoJapan.
My journey with photography began in my high school years, during a memorable short-term study abroad in New Zealand, where I first fell in love with capturing the natural beauty of landscapes. This passion only deepened when I later studied in the United States as a university student, and it has continued to grow throughout my life.
Originally from Osaka, I’ve had the opportunity to live, work, and study across multiple countries, including Japan, the U.S., Canada, and Australia. These experiences have not only made me bilingual but also given me a rich, multicultural perspective that I bring to every photo session. My professional background in both the education and legal fields in Japan further enhances the depth I offer, ensuring a well-rounded and engaging experience for those I work with.
While I’ve explored and photographed stunning landscapes across the world—from the UAE and Germany to Mexico and Estonia—I’ve now turned my lens toward uncovering Japan’s hidden gems. My goal is to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience, capturing their travels and moments in a way that lets them relive those memories for years to come.
What truly sets me apart is my commitment to capturing not just photos, but meaningful moments. My hope is that when people look back on the images, they are reminded of the joy and wonder of the experiences they had.
